Welcome to Sigma SMP, where maintaining a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players is our top priority.
To ensure this, we enforce specific limits on entities and hoppers within each chunk. Each chunk can have a maximum of 25 to 30 entities, including mobs, animals, and items. Additionally, only 40 hoppers are permitted per chunk.
These limits are in place to prevent server lag, reduce unnecessary resource strain, and promote fair gameplay. Overloading chunks with excessive entities or hoppers can cause significant lag, making the server less responsive for everyone.
If players exceed these limits, farms and redstone contraptions may stop functioning correctly. Excess entities might be automatically removed or restricted, and additional hoppers could be ignored or cause performance issues. This can disrupt your farm's productivity and overall gameplay experience.
To stay within these rules, we encourage the Sigma SMP community to design farms efficiently. Use compact redstone designs, optimize mob spawn rates, and avoid unnecessary entity spamming. Combining multiple functions into fewer hoppers and consolidating farms can help you maximize output without breaching limits.
Remember, these performance rules are designed to keep Sigma SMP stable, fair, and fun for everyone—whether you're a beginner building your first farm or an experienced player optimizing complex setups. By adhering to these limits, you contribute to a smoother server environment that benefits the entire community.
Stay smart with your farm designs, and enjoy a lag-free, thriving Sigma SMP experience!
